Honey Bees are social insects. We see honey bees when they visit flowers, but they spend most of their lives in a warm, dark beehive and forage flowers toward the end of their lifespan. The honey bees foraging flowers are females who use the magnetic poles of the earth to navigate from the hive to flowers, flying up to six miles to and from the hive multiple times a day and foraging hundreds of flowers throughout the day.
